In November 1991, the 20th KSEA president Dr. Moo Young Han organized a conference to commemorate the KSEA’s

20th founding anniversary by inviting several speakers from Korea. The 1992 KSEA Letters [2] reports that 240 people including 50 KSEA councilors attended the conference held at Cristal Gateway Marriott, near the National Airport with a fund obtained from KOFST, Korean Science Foundation and several corporations.

Former KSEA presidents and only the invited guests attended this meeting. There were no scientific papers presented except several plenary talks on the state of the matters in Korea. Mr. Jin-Hyun Kim,

Minister of Science and Technology was one of the invited speakers. This special conference did not contain much technical substances and does not resemble the

UKC format, it was included as the 6th UKC by the January KSEA 2018 Midterm Council Meetings.
